MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION
My time at CBS6 has allowed me to get involved with the Make a Wish Foundation of Northeast NY. I've shot commercials for the holiday campaign, covered the annual kick-off party and raised money live on air for the "Day of Wishes." We raised more than $15,000 for the foundation in one day!
I've also worked with Make a Wish on a personal level. The local chapter in northeast NY has the only annual skydiving fundraiser in the whole country! Those who raise enough money all skydive together from 13,500' up!
reporting
|
When I started at CBS 6 I was the weekend/noon meteorologist. This allowed me to report during the week, often times on really fun stories. I was also the feature reporter for a thoroughbred horse racing track here in upstate NY. It was a blast! I covered American Pharoah's defeat after he won the Triple Crown. I also got an interview with Dale Romans, the trainer for Keen Ice who beat American Pharoah!

school visits
Oregon
When I was in Medford I had the opportunity to work with and meet so many wonderful people and during my time there I participated in an event held annually known as "Dancing With the Rogue Valley Stars." Local celebrities and dancers compete and raise money for Sparrow Clubs, a non profit organization of school clubs that helps children and their families in medical crisis financially and emotionally. My partner Tanner Richie and I took first place in the Audience Choice Award for our salsa number! ...Anddd there never seems to be a dull moment in my life - I had the first ever wardrobe malfunction in the event's history! Yes I know, just my luck, you can watch it below!
